E-Way Bill is an electronic bill, which will be required to be made while sending any item worth more than 50000 from one place to another. The person who transfers the goods will have to create this E-Way Bill, which will contain the details of the sender, the phone number, bill number, the price of the goods, the bill date and the details of the buyer.

To make E-Way Bill on mobile, transporter will have to download its app in their smart phone. After filling your details in this app and giving GST tin number, you can make an E-Way bill through this app.


Valid Term of E-Way Bill and Important Information:-


  • According to the distance of the goods transfer, this bill is also valid for a certain time. If the place from where the goods are being sent is at a distance of 100 km from the place where the goods are to be shipped, then this bill is valid for one day only. If this distance is from 100 to 300 km then this bill will be for 3 days and if this distance is from 300 to 500 km then this bill will be valid for 5 days, for 500 to 1000 km and more than 1000 km, the bill will be valid for 15 days.
  • If a Vehicle accident occurs while transferring goods, in such a situation, you will have to make another E-Way bill while transferring goods from another vehicle.
  • If a Vehicle contains the goods of different companies, the details of different goods of each company will have to be given in the bill.

Rules for Making E-Way Bill :-
  • If the businessman who has GST registration, wants to send more 50000 worth of goods to another state, then it will be necessary to register.
  • Unregistered traders will also be required to bill on the transfer of goods. And if a trader who has been registered  gets his goods good from an unregistered merchant, then it will be entirely the responsibility of the merchant that all related actions have been taken for the goods.
  • If the person supplying the goods to another place by an intermediary, then it will be the responsibility of that intermediary to make E-Way Bill.

Enrollment Forms under E-Way Bill :-
  • E-Way Bill 1 :- When a trader sends goods of one kind from his state to another state, he will have to make E-Way bill 1.
  • E-Way Bill 2 :- When a transporter sends the goods of different company from one state to another, then this bill is made. This is called consolidated E-Way bill.
  • E-Way Bill 3 :- This is a verification form, which will be processed by the GST Officer. In this, the details of the Vehicle by which the goods are being transported, Vehicle number and the name of the transporter will be mentioned.

Process to Register E-Way Bill :-


  • E-Way Bills can be made only by the merchants who are registered. For this, they have to to complete the formalities by visiting the official website of the E-Way Bill.
  • When you visit the website, you have to click on the "E-Way Bill Registration" under Registration section.

  • Here the merchant has to give his tin number. After this, all the information present in the form has to be filled and the formality has to be completed by filling the code given at the end.
  • When your registration is done, you have to go to the official website and Login there to make the bill while sending the goods.
  • If the merchant does not have computer/laptop, then he can also make this bill by downloading the app from play store in his mobile.
