Often the reason of not getting higher education after passing 12th class is financial problem, due to which it is not possible for students to take further admission. In this sequence, the Bihar Government can provide solutions to all the problems related to their future by launching Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.


Features of Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme:- 



  • Through BSCC Scheme 2020, launched by the Department of Development and Labor Resources, Government of Bihar, the students living below the poverty line will be able to continue their education smoothly without worrying about the financial constraints.
  • A loan will be arranged for further education to students who have passed their intermediate/12th standard from institutions recognized by the Government of Bihar.
  • All students for admission to higher education courses like :- Graduate, BA,B.Sc etc. can get a loan of up to Rs 4 lakh.

Eligibility for Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme:-
  • Only Permanent resident students of Bihar are eligible to avail this scheme.
  • It is mandatory for the student's educational institute to be recognized by the State or Central Government.
  • All the 12th pass students can avail this scheme.
  • In the event of students being eligible to apply for the scheme, loans will be provided for higher education courses only.
  • Application can be made for teaching in general courses, technical or vocational courses only.

Documents Required:-
  • Identity Proof (Voter Id Card, Driving License, Passport)
  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN Card
  • 10th and 12th Marksheet.
  • Address/Residential Proof
  • Applicant Passport Size Photo
  • Mobile Number
  • Certificate of admission in higher educational institution.
  • 2 Photos of all (Students, Parents and Guarantors)
  • Joint Bank Account of Parents.

Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme Online Application Process:-
  • Visit the official website of the Department of Labor Development and Education.


  • On this page, you will see a registration form. Here all the information asked such as:- Enter your name, email Id, Aadhaar Number and Mobile Number.
  • After entering all your personal information, click on send OTP. Now OTP will come on both - Mobile as well as on your Email Id which you have to enter in the designated place.
  • Now another form will open in front of you. Here you have to enter your personal details and choose the student credit card option from the given three options.
  • After this, Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme application form will open, here you have to enter all the information asked and upload all the necessary documents.
  • Now after checking all the information you entered, click on the "Submit" button. On successful submission of your application you will be given a unique identification number.
  • Students will get a copy of the application form in PDF format on their registered email id. You have to show this over the counter.

How to check Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme Application Status?
  • Visit the official website of Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme.
  • On the homepage, you have to click on the "Application Status" option. After this a form will open in front of you.

  • In this form, you have to enter all the details asked like - Registration Id or Aadhaar Number, DOB, Captcha Code etc and click on the submit button.
  • In this way, the status of the application will be displayed in front of you.
