The State Government of Bihar ha organized a pension scheme for the older citizens of the state. Under this scheme, the citizen aged above 60 years will be given a monthly pension. This scheme is named as "Mukhyamantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana".

The SSPMIS Payment Status Online Portal has been launched by the Government of Bihar in collaboration with the department of Social Welfare. With the help of this portal, people who have applied for Old age pension can check the status of their application. You can also apply for Old age pension with the help of this portal.


Benefits of Mukhyamantri Vridhjan Pension Yojana:-

  • Under this scheme, assistant amount will be distributed as pension to all the old people of the state.
  • Retired government employees under the central or state government are exempted from the application in this pension scheme.
  • The entire expenditure under the Vridhjan Pension Yojana will be borne by the Bihar Government. The scheme is meant to empower the old people, so that they can live easily at the last stage of their lives without any financial hassle.

Eligibility Criteria for  Vridhjan Pension Yojana:-
  • Only permanent residents of Bihar are eligible to apply under SSPMIS Old age pension scheme.
  • Applicants who are living below the poverty line and whose age is more than 60 years will be given benefits only.
  • The scheme can not be availed by a person working in any government department or availing any other pension scheme.

Documents required for Vridhjan Pension Yojana:-
  • Aadhaar Card.
  • Bank Passbook.
  • Passport Size Photo.
  • Income Certificate.
  • Voter Id Card.
  • Residence Certificate.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Identity Proof.

How to Apply Online for SSPMIS Pension?


  • First of all you have to go to the official website of Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. After this, the homepage of the website will open in front of you.
  • On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of "Old Age Pension". After this, an application form will open in front of you.
  • In this form, you have to fill all the information asked such as :- Applicant Name, Address, Aadhaar Number, age etc.
  • After filling all the information and uploading the required documents, click on the submit button.
  • In this way, your application for SSPMIS Old Age Pension will be completed.

How to Login SSPMIS Portal?
  • First of all you have to visit the official website of Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar. 
  • On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of "Login" in the menu. After this, a new page will open in front of you.
  • On this page you will have to fill the username, password and captcha code in the space provided and click on the Login button.

  • Once you click on the option, a new page will open in front of you. Here you will see some steps on the screen.
  • On this page, you have to fill Beneficiary Id ( You can select the option from drop-down through which you want to search for pension status) in the given space and click on the "Search" button.
  • SSPMIS Payment Status will appear on your screen.
