Government will bring special scheme for roadside  street vendors, handlers, small shopkeepers. The scheme is expected to benefit 50 lakh street vendors. Under this relief package, several schemes have been started for small and medium industries as well as people associated with barber and handloom industries. Under this scheme, street vendors will be provided with a loan of up to Rs 10,000 for going through difficult situations during a disaster.


Eligibility Criteria for PM Svanidhi Yojana:-

This loan will be given to those who run shops on the roadside, Cart or streetcar. Fruit-vegetables, laundary, saloon and paan shops are also included in this category. Those who run them can also take this loan.


How to Apply Online for PM Svanidhi Yojana?

  • First, the applicant has to visit the official website of the scheme. You will be redirected to below page.

  • On this home page you will see the option of Planning to Apply for Loan.


  • Please read the section of Planning to Apply for Loan and click on the button "View More"
  • You will be redirected to below page.

  • Click on the "View/Download form" option, a PDF file (Svanidhi scheme form) will open.
  • Fill all the mandatory information asked in form and attach all the required documents with the application form.

  • Submit the form to the Institutions mentioned below. A list of Institutions is shown below.


The bank list offering loan will be seen on "Lender List" option. After viewing this list, you can submit your application form wherever you want.


How to download PM Svanidhi Mobile App?

  • As you all know that Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has already launched the website http://pmsvanidhi.mohua.gov.in/ on 29th June 2020.. Now Mohua has launched PM Svanidhi Mobile App.
  • One can download this mobile app, you have to go to the Google Play Store of your Android Mobile.
  • After going to Google Play Store, you will have to search the PM Svanidhi app in the search bar and then click on install button.

Benefits of PM Svanidhi Yojana 2020:-

  • The government has announced a special package of Rs 5,000 crore to provide loans to street vendors under this scheme.
  • A loan of Rs 10,000 will be provided under the scheme to resume its business.
  • This scheme will benefit 50 lakh people of the country.
  • Street Vendors will also be encouraged to adopt the digital payment process. Besides, they will also be given special prizes for this.
  • Under this scheme, loans will be available at concessional rates.
  • Those who pay the loan on time will also be given a special interest rebate.
