Aadhaar Card Update Service, Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal (SSUP)

A new beginning has been made by the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e UIDAI under which you will be able to do online correction, or Aadhaar update again as before. For this you neither need any appointment booking nor need to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Enrollment Center. Due to Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal, you can amend your Aadhaar Card Online yourself.

What details we can improved/update online in Aadhaar Card?

Now you can make improvements/update in the Aadhaar Card online which are the following:-

• Name
• Date of Birth.
• Gender.
• Address.
• Language.

Basic Guidelines or things to be kept in mind while do Aadhaar Card Online Correction:-

The facility of online correction in Aadhaar Card has been started by UIDAI but if you want to do online correction in Aadhaar Card, then you have to take care of some things:-

• You can currently update the Name, DOB, Gender, Address and Language in your Aadhaar Card only.
• Your mobile number must be linked to Aadhaar in order to update anything online in Aadhaar Card.
• To make the corrections in the Aadhaar Card, you will have to select the document according to the type of correction and upload that supported document.
• Your Aadhaar Card improvement/update request will be carried forward only on the basis of the document you have uploaded.

Benefits of Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal:-

• Aadhaar Card holders will no longer have to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra for any modification in the Aadhaar Card.
• For Aadhaar Correction, they do not have to waste their time in long line or appointment.
• If one's mobile number linked to Aadhaar, he/she can easily go to the Aadhaar Self Service Upadte Portal and file a request for their correction.

How to do Aadhaar Card Correction Online?

• Visit the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal.

• On the homepage, you can see the option of "Proceed to Update Aadhaar".

• Click on the option "Proceed to Update Aadhaar", you will be directed to new page.

• Here you have to enter your Aadhaar Card Number and then the captcha Code you see.
• Now an OTP has been sent to your registered mobile number, enter this OTP and click on "Login" button.
• As soon as you click on Login button, your Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal login will be done and the options to do correction will open in front of you.

• Here you will get to see two options :- 1) Update Demographic Data Including Address and 2) Update Address via Secret Code.
• For name, address or any other type of correction, select the first option i.e Update Demographic Data Including Address.
• As soon as you select Update Demographic Data Including Address, the options of Aadhaar Correction will open in front of you.

• Select the option you want to correct/Update and click on the proceed button.
• Now a new page will open in front of you, where the information you want to correct will have to enter i.e Correct one and upload the related document.
• After uploading the relevant document, you will have to pay the specified amount for Aadhaar Update and submit it.
• You will get a slip while making the payment, keep it safe,you will be able to check the status of Aadhaar Update with the help of that slip.
