One have the last chance to get a free cylinder under the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme. The Modi Government launched the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme to provide free gas cylinders to the poor rural women of the country. This is the last chance to get a free cylinder under the Ujjwala scheme (PMUY). The central government implemented the scheme in 2016 for three years. The scheme will be phased out in year 2020.


Last chance to get the free LPG Cylinder:-

The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme was launched by the government in 2016. The government started it for three years. In such a situation, after September, you can not apply under this scheme. If you want to apply for this scheme, then do it without any delay. The scheme launched by the Modi government for poor women was started for three years only, whose deadline was to end in April 2020, but due to Corona crisis and lockdown, the government has extended it till September 2020.


7.4 Crore women gets benefit till September :-


To avail the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana scheme, you have to register. The government introduced this scheme for BPL families. The government has estimated a subsidy expenditure of Rs 13,500 crore to provide free cylinders to 7.4 crore women by September.


How to Register for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme?



  • First of all, one has to go to official website of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.
  • A home page will open on the website, go to the download form option and click.
  • After this, the Prime Minister Ujjwala scheme form will come in front of you.
  • Download the form.
  • Once download, fill all the information being asked in the form like, name, date, location of the applicant and submit at LPG Center near you.
  • Submit all the documents as well.
  • Now after the document is verified, LPG gas connection will be made available by the government.


These documents will be needed:-

To avail this scheme you must have a BPL ration card, BPL Card, Aadhaar Card or Voter Id Card, one photo, Jan Dhan Account or bank account. At the same time, you should have a LIC Policy. Only one women from a family will get the benefit of this scheme.
