What Is IMEI Number?
The International Mobile Equipment Identity or IMEI is a unique numeric identifier for every mobile device.
This number helps separate each device from one another. If you take your phone for repair, they will track it using IMEI to separate it from millions of other phones. The IMEI number states the information related to the manufacturing of the device.
Every mobile device has a different IMEI number. The IMEI number indicates where the mobile device is made and what is the model number of the device. The IMEI number of any phone indicates the current location of the phone. When your device is lost or stolen, IMEI is fully utilized , even if the SIM Card is removed from your phone, it can be detected using the IMEI number on the device.
How IMEI Works?

The IMEI number has several purposes, such as identifying the manufacturer or seeing if anyone has ever reported it stolen. IMEI numbers can also blacklist devices so that they do not work, making them useless if stolen.

- Dial *#06# on your Phone.


- Open the settings app on your Android phone.
- Scroll down and tap on "About Phone".
- Scroll down and you will find the under IMEI.

- Open the settings.
- Tap General>About.
- Scroll down to find the IMEI Number.
